Trinadee Eve (update)

I received an email from Rebecca:

Trinadee Eve was born on Tuesday, 09/15/09, at 1:36 p.m. and lived for a precious 26 minutes. She weight 3lbs9oz and was 16-1/2 inches long. Mommy says she was absolutely beautiful and I can just imagine that she was.

If she will allow me to, I will update again later (possibly with some pics of Trinadee). Please keep this family in your prayers.

Lord, please continue to be with Rebecca, Darin, Emalee, and Gracee. Hold them close and let them feel the peace that only you can offer. Amen.

Blanket & prayers for Trinadee Eve....(Edit)

I FINALLY finished the blanket and hat for Rebecca's little girl who is due any week now. Of course, in my haste to get it in the mail to her I forgot to take pictures of the finished products (oh well). When I last checked in with her she was having some pains but nothing else so far. She is due to be checked by her doctor on Tuesday. I am praying that the blanket/hat gets to them before her baby comes so that they may actually USE them!

Here is Rebecca's story in her own words (this is from an email on 08/07/09):
I don't mind at all to share my story. It helps to talk about it. I am currently almost 32 weeks pregnant. When I was 14 weeks, I began to bleed really bad. So I went to the er and they ran many test that showed nothing. I was told that I along with the baby was fine. But they told me to see my doctor when his office opened. So I went to my doctor and he done an ultrasound. He told me to get dressed and meet him in his office. I knew then something was wrong. But I figured he was going to tell me I was miscarring. So when he came in, he told us that our baby's skull hadn't developed. He said that her brain had started to develop. He said that it was not a severe case as some he had seen, but there was no chance of the baby making it. I think I was in shock the first few minutes. Then he told us that he would send us to a specialist for a second opinion on that Monday. After he walked out of his office, that is when it all hit me. I broke down and I think I cried for the next couple days. So we went to the specialist and he told us the same thing my doctor had told us. But he gave us a name, Anencephaly. So as soon as I got home, I researched everything I could find on it. The first week was really hard. But as time goes on I find more of a peace. I know we have so many people praying for us, and I along with my husband, can feel those prayers. And if it weren't for the Good Lord above, I don't think I could have handled it. I also have 2 other children. 2 girls. Emalee is 5 and just started kindergarten. That has been hard. And Gracee just turned 2. I haven't told my girls about their sister's condition yet. I mean how do you explain that to a 5 and 2 year old. I figure God will let me know when the time is right. But that is a short run down on me. Feel free to ask me anything. And agian thanks for everything.

Edit: She let me know that she named her baby girl....Her name will be Trinadee Eve. Still feeling okay. Like I said, she is being checked by her doc on Tuesday so there may be more news then.

Please if you feel led to pray for this family then do. They need the prayers. Any family facing a loss needs prayers, both before, during and after the loss. This is the hardest thing anyone is ever asked to face. Losing a child is horrible. So please, please pray....for Rebecca and her family. For me. For Misty, Holly, PJ, Danielle, Trisha, and all the other moms out there who have lost a child.

Thanks in advance for your prayers......

Just keep stitching, just keep stitching....

I have been working away at the blankets and hats and such. Nothing new to share in the pic department. The Jillian-inspired blanket is about halfway done and I expect to finish it in another week along with a matching hat.

Mainly, I just wanted to remind any who care to to please be in prayer for the little girl the blanket and hat are intended for along with her family. They need it so.

Once I have finished the blanket/hat, I plan on sharing a little about the family. So again, if you feel led, please pray for them.

Thanks!

Hats!!

I have this picture on Noah's blog but thought I would post it again here so you can get an idea of what the hats look like.

I have several very cute patterns that are rather "holey" so I'm not sure if I should make those or stick to the kind that have a more closed pattern. Let me know what you think. My thought was if the babies had a dressing on their head anyway that the "holes" won't matter as much but, at the same time, I'm not sure anyone wants it showing through either. A closed pattern keeps everything "under" the hat. I don't know....you tell me what you think.....

I hope you enjoy them!

Blankets!

This is done in an antique white or like off white color. I haven't done much on it simply because I have been working on the blanket below.

This is the blanket that was inspired by Jodi and her daughter Jillian. I think the colors are just fabulous and perfect for a little girl!

This was my first one I created. It is not quite done as I need to go to Hobby Lobby to get some more yarn to finish it off.....but it is ALMOST completed!

Here they all are together.....kind of a hodge podge of completeness.....But it works for me! Keeps my hands and mind busy!

Getting this thing going

So I decided to create a blog specifically for the ministry of the blankets and hats that I want to create and give out in honor of my special boy Noah.

For those of you who don't know our story, please click here to read from the beginning.

Anyway, I have already started a few projects and have made quite a few hats. The blankets take me a little longer which is why they aren't quite finished yet.

I was thinking of making matching hats and blankets as keepsakes for anyone who might be going through something like what we have been through with Noah. I can say without a doubt that Noah's blanket and hat are two of my most treasured keepsakes of his. They were the two things that he was wrapped up in and that stayed with him during his entire 19 hours alive.

If you are interested in getting a hat/blanket, please feel free to leave a comment or email me. I would need to know if you are having a boy or girl and also what colors you wish to have. I only have a select few colors at the moment - mostly baby pastels. But I can do just about any color combination you like.

I can't wait to start getting requests! This is something that makes my heart just a little lighter by knowing that I will be helping another person along their journey and that I will be doing it in my son's honor.
